OVER THE RAINBOW

The yellow brick road,
life happening to me.

Going to see the Wizard,
how the world wants me to be,
obligations, expectations of others.

Am I the Wizard?
Is my former persona
the Wizard?

Dorothy is me,
Branwen is Dorothy,
searching for a way home.

Three traveling companions,
all pieces of me.

The Cowardly Lion,
needing to face my fears,
will I find the courage?

The Tin Man,
looking for love,
feeling hollow inside.

The Scarecrow,
looking for self-knowledge,
will I ever know myself?

Flying monkeys everywhere,
dysphoria,
triggers,
lead by the evil witches
the haters
transphobes,
fundamentalists,
the self-righteous.

I am searching for
my way home.
