today.
Thunder claps 
sounded like 
storm troopers 
marching.

Intense lightning 
with the smell of ozone.
Winds blow 
lawn furniture and 
topple trees.
Shock and Awe of Bush
or the Blitzkrieg on London.

Nature's storms 
reflect the times, 
the senseless loud 
rhetoric coming 
from Trump,
right wing thunder 
reverberates everywhere.

End of the American dream
now the American nightmare 
with the Horsemen 
of the Apocalypse 
galloping over our freedoms,
the cavalry that leads the 
far right and christian 
nationalists hordes,
Muscle shirts and plaid flannel 
instead of brown.

 Bread and circuses on 
the our nation's 
front lawn.
Modern gladiators who 
trained in cages,
all saluting 
the wanna-be 
American Caesar.
He is as crazy
 as Caligula 
and Nero.

Create a storm 
of justice and love.
We need leaders like 
Gandhi and MLK.
Bring back Justice 
swing her sword 
enforcing the  law 
before punishment, 
after weighing 
the evidence 
on her scales, 
restoring balance 
and reason to 
the rule of law.

Sing loud of 
the hammer 
and the bell, 
a new thunder 
shaking the 
windows of 
the high towers of
Big Brother 
tech bros.

We need the reign 
of social justice 
and equality,
not the reign 
of a king.
